Is it normal for the havanese breed (adult) to have protruding lower teeth (the lower teeth sticking out)?
We just found a dog perfectly healthy and we don’t know much about him, we were told he was a shih tzu but recently found out that he is in fact a havanese
any suggestions will help
It’s malocclusion… (inncorrect bite) but it is indeed not uncommon in that breed, as well as shih tzus.. i have a shih tzu puppy and she defintatly has an underbite, but the vet said it’s not uncommon and should be OK. unless it causes any problems… I would just double check with your vet to make sure her situation wont cause any eating problems! just to be sure! and keep an eye on her as well! congratulations on your new friend! they’re so rewarding!!
